I got a V-3 about 3 months ago. I played with it at first but it has been setting for 6 to 8 weeks and when I tryed to use it the battary is dead. Is this normal for this camera? It seems like I seen a simular problem in an earlyer post but I then thought I seen that problem was taken care of. I do have a 1 gig memory card.

Thanks in advance. Terry

This may or may not be a problem. Most lithium batteries slowly discharge over time. Depending on how much you used it prior to storing it, it would not suprise me that you had little or no charge left after 2 months of inactivity. I would charge it up, and start shooting to see if it truly is a battery problem. You should get well over one hundred or more shots out of a fully charged battery. If not, you may have a bad battery. The replacements run about $60 retail and its a good idea to have a spare anyway. The size of your memory stick has nothing to do with battery life (except you can take more pics).
