Hi all,
I've just bought a P200 as my 2nd camera. It works fine, but I'm disappointed by the fact that the zoom doesn't work while taking videos. Does the W50 (or W70, W100, if anybody already has) allow it?

are you sure you need that? it's not too useful because on cameras that allow it, there's always a lot of noise that ruins the audio.

anyway, i just did a lot of research on the w50 and i'm pretty sure it doesn't zoom during vids

I have the P72 and W1 and they both dont let you zoom while recording a video.

I don't think any Sony still camera lets you do this besides the M1 (which is discontinued now?), unless someone proves me wrong.

Would love this feature!

Doubt many Sony compacts do allow this, though the H2 and H5 can.

I've got a W50 and can confirm that you cannot zoom while taking video.
You have to stop the recording and then adjust the zoom.
This limitation is a little annoying.
