I haven't tried the lens for sports before, so I stopped by a baseball game this afternoon to see how it would do.

I was particularly impressed with the detail on close-ups of an action shot. BTW, the first shot was cropped already. This one much more.

The batter's box was in deep shade, so it wasn't the best for natual lighting.
