This was my first time shooting at Autzen Stadium in Eugene Oregon.

Really like that second shot.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"4&5 (5 especially) could be great shots but IMO they're underexposed - you can't really see the players' faces.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"All in all, pretty good shots

Thanks. I need to work more on my exposures then. It was my first time at that stadium....hopefully I will get another chance to shoot there.

I have not shot American Football (OK so to you it is football) so can't comment on the intricacies but I do like the framing and some of the action you have caught. What lens are you using here as you seem to have some good range.

Thanks Mark 1616. I use a Canon 70-200 2.8

But I could certainly use more reach. Lots of people were shooting with onger lenses..300 and 400mm

How low are you shooting from then, as the horizon is very low on the players? This was shot with me kneeling and the horizon is still quite high.

I know the longer the lens then capturing players further away will bring the horizon lower but you are using a 70-200 like me so was curious.

Mark, most of the time I was shooting while kneeling down. Furthermore, on many american football fields, the middle fo the field is about 1 foot higher than the sideline...it gradually slopes dowward from the middle to the sidelines...
