going to the dolphins colts game the 31st. i know my 75-300 sony isnt the best. i'm 30 rows up. will a 105mm 2.8 be good or shouldi go larger? was goin to try to avoid the $2000 lens if possible.

Before buying anything specifically for that purpose, I'd make sure you can eventake your outfit in to the stadium. The security nazis in Dallas won't let you take anything bigger than a point & shoot into Texas Stadium. It's really getting tough here to get an SLR into anywhere other than the Texas Ranger's baseball park for a pro sporting event, and the Rangers let me take my whole bag in as long as it fits under the seat. It's one reason I've been considering one of these super zoom digicams like the Canon S3IS. I'd even be afraid of taking a DSLR look-alike, like the Fuji 6500, for fear of being turned away at the gate.
