Last night I played football for the first time in a couple of years and the guy who organises this asked me to bring along my camera to get some shots. Unfortunately the lighting was weak as it is a high school astro turf so had to shoot at ISO 3200, f2.8 and 1/320th which when returning to the PC I found to be slightly under exposed so probably I needed 1/250th which is horribly slow!! I only had 15mins shooting the football and the rest was playing so I didn't get as many chances as I would have liked to get great shots.

Kit used Canon 30D with Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 and of course a monopod!!

Let me know what you think as this was the first time ever shooting football and the lighting really was not on my side.

A full select of them can be found at http://www.photographysmith.co.uk/Fo...April2007/HTML

6 This was the closest to any action happening really but unfortunately the focus was not great as it was a little too far away and not helped by the motion blur.
