awesome! when i was kid we raised german sheperds!

i like the second shot better, because you can see the man and dog's face,

the first would probably better if you would have gotten it from the front!

awesome work, please post more!

what i am doing is bringing the camera out on really bright days and trying to keep low iso (200 becouse 400 and 800 on this camera have lots of noise), f5 or above becouse slow autofocus, and 1/1000 or higher shutter speed. don't know if this is the right approch but its what i have done so far. any ideas or feedback would help. like i said before i only have a minolta a200 right now but looking for a dslr, what do you guys recommend? i take alot of these pics and low light family pictures.

hi brasfieldjames,

try using an iso of 100
or put it on auto, use aperture mode
and use the largest setting,
(2.8 is larger than 3.5) then
the camera will automatically set
your shutter speed. also try to
set your exposure to -0.3 that
bright sunlight is washing
out some of the color.
good luck, john

also, maybe get on one knee
so you are at level with the dog
or looking up when he jumps!

the dogs are never teased, you have to play with them to bring out the prey drive but rule #1 dog always wins. every game dog always wins. building well socialized, and well trained animals. not mean or aggresive dogs. they can go through crowds off leash and never bite or growl.
