The Tour de France started in London for the first time ever this year and came very close to my house. I was watching the race on TV and when the cyclists got about 10 miles away I wandered the 200 yards up to the road with my wife and sister's kids to have a look.

It was over in seconds (they REALLY fly past) and I only managed to get a few shots off. This is the one that came out the best though.

Cool capture.... it's hard when you are close to the action to get a good pan but you did well.

Did you get any group shots of them heading towards you?

Thanks Mark. I got a few but nothing too special. I made the mistake of trying to keep the shutter speed down with a flash to illuminate the fron rider - it didn't work and I didn't have much time after that to get anything great. I changed to aperture priority and got this one.

In fact, looking at the second one I've noticed my angle's off- I'll need to tweak it at home later.
