During this afternoon's tennis practice, I was taking a few shots, primarily to show players specific areas for improvementin their strokes, and I was relatively pleased with the way several came out.

The first is of the young lady who is clearly my best player at this point.

These were all taken with the Pentax K10D and the Sigma 28-200 zoom. I was pleased with its sharpness in bright sun.

Shadows were obviously a problem in the previous shot, and in this one, as well. Tennis afficionados will not where this backhand is headed.

The second is my fave as you can see the concentration on the players face as he watches the ball onto his racket.

Unfortunately all of these are let down by high ISO as for some reason you were shooting at ISO1000 in good light. I also notice you were at f9 and f11 which is far too high. I would get the ISO down to about 200 or 400 and open up the aperture to let much more light in.

I've only tried tennis twice so far and it is pretty hard to get timing right as everything is happening pretty close up and fast so you are doing well.
