Thanks,

I was using a Nikon D50 and a sigma 70-200mm F2.8, and thats all I have bar a 2x teleconverter. I must get the 28-70 f2.8 sigma next.

I have a D80. My next purchase will be the Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 and Nikkor 18-70 f/2.8.

If your photos came out like that...! :O

Does the converter affect the quality, at all?

Rallies aren't really my cup of tea, so I can't say from experience - but these look really good to me. Nice and sharp, you've caught some good action and good color.

Nice job!

My only criticism is that watermark is really annoying. I know we all have to protect our images. but it's right over top the main subject - so for posting in forums it's pretty distracting. But the images themselves look great.

Nicely done, what sort of settings were you using?

Thanks for the comments.

The teleconverter does reduce quailty butI still think its much higher quaility than you will get with a cheaper lens. The aufo focus speed does go down a bit but if you need the extra reach sometimes, its great. I might get a 1.4 on for it too.

Sorry about the watermark, I just started printing out photos at some events, and loads and loads of people said that thet could just print them on from the site. So had to do something, I know its in a bad spot, but they will still probably be happy out printing them.

As for setting, I did a mix of high shutter speeds and low panning shots. I wanted to get Loeb and so on, so with the higher speed was setting to camera to around f4 or 5 to keep them sharp. Then down the field I used 1/125.

I adjusted curves slightlyin photoshop to bring up a few photos from the weekend. Like the one of Loeb in the C4.
