Great job Nick!

These are really nice! My next suggestion is to try and move beyond pitchers and hitters - try more shots of fielders and runners. But these are really good - you're making great strides!

Great series Nick!

These shots are exceptionally well for year end photos!! If you haven't already, I'd approach the executive board of this club and offer them that idea and land yourself a paying photo opp. I too shoot with the same gear and am very pleased with the results.

Well done!! :|

These are really nice, I also like to shoot night games with my f717. I have found it to be very challageing. I now have an XTi and am considering the Sigma 70-200 f2.8, any thoughts on performance in similar conditions?

Sorry for the late reply... Haven't been on here lately... If you can't afford the extra $300 or so (comparing used prices of Sigma and Canon L) then go for the Sigma, I have used both... The L is a lot sharper, but it all depends on what you are shooting. I shoot little league and the Sigma would've been plenty sharp to make the parents happy (and the $300-400 price difference would make my wife happy). Personally, I sold my gear over the winter and am thinking about trying out the Sigma 100-300 f/4 this year for baseball. So keep a look out for pics from it

BTW: These were taken at ISO 1600, f/2.8
