Great motor racing pictures. What a variety of cars you have racing in Australia. In the pix (looks like the start of the race) I see Porsche, a nice '69 / 70 Chevy Camaro, a Falcon and I'm sorry but I don't recognize the other makes (maybe Australian ?).

I'm from Canada and back in the '60's I had a '67 Camaro RS, 327 (5.3 liter) V8, 4 spd. standard transmission. Those pix bring back some nice memories.

I like the real action quality you've captured, as opposed to typical calendar shots. You can see the effect of the weight transfering in the picture of the Camaro cornering. Excellent picture that leaves an impression of movement, from a still picture.

Hi, Glad you liked the photos. We do have lots of racing classes here as well as lots of historic classes.lets do a quick run down of the photos.
pic 1......Formula Vee
pic 2......69 Camaro, historic touring car. class Group Nc
pic 3......Holden Torana GTR-XU1 around 1973 again Group Nc (year built)
pic 4......Mazda RX-2 rotary. again Group Nc (1969 to 1972)
pic 5......Nissan Bluebird early 80's, Improved production class
pic 6......Holden Torana Hatchback, 1977, Improved production class
pic 7......Lola T124 (I think) Formula A then F5000
pic 8......Groupe N race start pic. car 18 Holden HQ GTS Monaro 1971. car 69 1964 US Falcon coupe X Monte Carlo Rallye. 69 Camaro, Porsche 911. The greencar and car 7 are Torana GTR-XU1's. The red car with black stripes is a 1971 Ford Falcon GT.
pic 9......Triumph TR7 now with V8 engine, Improved production.
pic 10....Datsun 1600, late 60's, improved production.
pic 11....Camaro in pits.

Thanks for the details of the pix and the links. Australia seems to have a very healthy racing scene.
