Not just talking about panning here but to get some movement into the wheels rather than having them frozen.

Coming down to 1/500th should allow that, and if you wanted to try extreme then lower would give motion blur but that was not my initial though.

I think at 1/500th you are still pretty much going tostill freeze everything... i simply don't think the wheels are rotating fast enough when these shots are taken... at least for the front wheels... you migh get some blur in the back wheels... especially if they have the big white letters...

I only have one example... this was with an shutter speed of 1/318th (odd, but that's what the exif data says... LOL!)





closer... front wheels are frozen but you can see a slight hint of rotation on the back rims (at least i think you can... LOL_
