It was a fine day for surfing here, and many surfers were out to enjoy the big waves.

Nice shots Walter.
I am also a local and have been considering a run down to Newport or HB and do some shooting.
What camera/lens were you using?

In this instance I used my 40D with the 100-400L. I wanted the extra reach of the 1.6 crop factor (160-640mm).
