and by the way my 10d finally died a few shots after this. R.I.P.
do you think i should have cropped closer? i did use a little usm.

tough call. It's a very good shot - nice sharpness and color. if anything, if you've got the original maybe slide them a tiny bit forward so less dead space in front. If this was intended for print I'd leave the crop as-is. Can't crop a whole lot tighter while maintaining the aspect ratio. A tiny bit but not much.

.....hi John,

I really like your photo for the composition of players and the ball. This composition demands exact exposure, it is right on, with good color.

I agree with John G. that some crop shift to the right of the photo might improve the presentation.

To maintain aspect ration to the posted file a bit off the top and bottom while eliminating the distraction to the photo right can work to bring a good photo to a really good one. I did a touch of contrast and a bump in sharpness, this photo could make a nice print.

I've never borrowed a posted photo to make changes and repost to illustrate my point but this time I did and sincerely hope you won't mind.

thanks about the lighing, i had to use manual mode because ap mode never worked on the old 10d. poor 10d R.I.P.
