Nice shots John, seems you've got to grips with the new 70-200 ! #3 is my choice too!

Hey John,

I agree that 3 is the best, for me 1 is almost there but the framing is uncomfortable, when shooting something like this it is good to leave room for the subject to move into so some space on the left would help. 2 is too far away so you have lost sharpness and impact of the image. 3 has the detail (some USM probably needed for bit more pop), the framing (might crop a little tighter) and the nice mud thrown up to tell the whole story!!

Good work even though you are stuck with a 10D

Well done particularly the third shot. I disagree that you need to give the rider more room to leave the frame. I like how the trail of dust comes in from the right, the rider is kicking dirt into the berm and has some room to see where he is going. It is a great shot.

This summer I will be snapping some moto action with my D300. Can't wait.

Ok, I'm jealous. My local moto track will not open for about another month or so. This will be the second year it has been in existance and over the winter they started the work to make it larger. I can't find a shot I do not like in that series but my favorite is the last one.

I can't wait for our track to open.

A potpourri of 2 strokes, I love it!That last shot is killer! Great action. Man, those banshees were killer back in the day. It may well be my monitor cause Ive seen a couple ofother posts that seemed to need an increase in contrast too.
