It was nice to get out of the gyms and smell the green grass and open air. Heck, Even the chain link fences didnt bother me....for the 1st 2 innings-LOL

These were shot with the D3 and the 400 f/2.8. I was standing in deep right and left fields to get full batter shots. LOL. Itsdef going to take some getting used to for the infield action work. Im amazed at how quickly this thing focuses and locks on target.

Great shots. Nothing like a creamy smooth background

a 400mm 2.8 is definitely on my wish list, but it might be a couple years before I can swing a $6500 investment.

Thanks John, 'preciate it. Yea, I def had to make the jump beforeI had too much time to think about it, LOL. Seems like you Canon guys have it made. The Nikon version was a bit more than that! :shock:

I want one!!!! Lovely shots. As I'm jealous of your lens I'm going to say the 2nd shot might be better balanced if you take a little off of the bottom

Thanks Mark...good eye..Id expect nothing less! I have a tendency of including more foreground in most of my shots.
