Well thats it for another season.

We had a two day meet at the National Indoor Arena

There was some great entertainment on inbetween games

A team of acrobatic dunker's, who used springboards.

Sadly the NIA turned down the lighting when they performed!

1) Some cheerleaders were used

2) two of the guys together

3) a different angle on a dunk

4)I feel this one is the best, slight crop, nothing else done to this one.

5) A great game from a young prospect, scoring his first points for the team

All taken with a 1DMkIII and 70-200 f2.8

C&C welcomed

Some more from the games.

1)The coach, his team a minute away from losing the final!

2) The winning captain.

3) a quick american , 6 feet 5"

4) a very quick american , only 5 feet 10"

5) another young prospect getting some court time

Wow...if looks could kill. Im thinking he wasnt very happy, LOL. Way to be on the look out for that. Youve captured the action well, esp in those horrific lighting conditions. The WB seems to be off, towards the greens, but that could be my computer. Also, are you using noise reduction in-camera, or heavily cropping? These have a weird look to them that I cant put my finger on. It may be the slow shutter speed causing them to look softwith a loss of detail...except for the last one. The white player doesnt display the same characteristics as the others. PerhapsMark or John could figure out the reason.

Yes i am using noise reduction in camera, and I allways use AWB indoors.

Looking at neatimage software for the noise.

Cheers

Check into the expodisc for indoor sports. I used to use a gray card, tried the autoWB, bought the expodisc and have never looked back. Also, my preference is to do any noise reduction in post processing instead of in-camera because it gives me more control. These are semi pro players, right? Hard to believe they play in that bad of lighting. Our high school gyms are a ton better than that.
