My first ever Lacrosse game and it was a beautiful afternoon in NC.. I found it difficult to get close to the action without fear of death by flying lacrosse balls, but enjoyed trying something different. Here's a sample of what I came up with.

Most are softer than I'd like, I guess due to some cropping and shooting with the 75-300mm @300mm. As always, C&C welcome...

I like the shots. There is some CA (purple fringing) on some of your photos. It is mainly due to the lens used. Some PP used on it to remove it is easy enough.

I typically use Picasa and Photoshop Elements. I can't find anything in either that looks like it will correct chromatic aberration. Any suggestions?

[edit -I see inDigital Photo Pro that there are tools available if I shoot in RAW(which I have not been doing.]

I'm impressed how well you did with this lens as it is not the strongest on the market for sure!!

The only really weak shot is 5 as it is a long way out of focus.

I would suggest things like straightening horizons etc just to finish them off and where possibly (for future) try to expose for the faces as this will make a huge difference.

Great to see some LAX in here and hope you get to try again!!

Nicely done. Take #5 out and you have a really nice set. I like how you cropped nice and tight, captured the balland focused in on the action. Too many LAX shots out there with guys just running down the field.
