Great looking set John! I love the expression on the kid face in #6!

Thanks Bob. Yeah, not much action in that shot but like you I love the expression. That's the nice thing about kids - what they lack in action they make up for in expression.

Great shots. Very clear and crisp. What lens and settings did you use?

Some lovely clean images John with great facials!. where these strobed? if not your blessed with some great lighting (along with a great camera I Know!). there seems to be no colour shift in the lights at all?. Kind regards Graham.

Hi Graham. No, they weren't strobed. But there were windows. Overall light level wasn't great - I was still shooting at ISO 3200 and 6400. But the sunlight helped with the quality of the light - removing most of the color casts.

John,

I always love the sharpness of your pictures. These are really nice. I like the competitive spirit in #4 and even #1. As a coach I love it when those little guys give such a strong effort even if they are not always successful.

Thanks Andy.

Yeah the competitive spirit is there. What I get a kick out of is some of these kids never met a shot they didn't like. Some of them have some athletic talent but they haven't yet learned the concept of team - much less how to pass the ball :G

Great series John. It might be my monitor, but it looks like the orange is a bit over-saturated - it really doesn't detracted from the great shots, though..

I think #7 is my fav - looks like his own teammate is going for a steal?

Thanks - and I agree about the orange. It's one of the few things I don't like about the mkIII - I tend to get oversaturated red/orange. I wish I could set saturation values by channel in-camera.
