If anyone wants to see some of the action in video then I was also doing that (hmmm is this the reason my mind wasn't really on getting stills LOL). This isa compilation from my time there, make sure you click on view in HD.

Very cool shots, Mark, and great video!

I used to play field hockey down in Australia (Division 4, hacker stuff).

Really great sport. Not very popular here for the guys in the US. They don't know what they're missing!

Thanks Terry, this video shooting lark is a lot harder than taking stills but for different reasons. I love learning new things and video brings a new enjoyable challenge.

Hi Mark

A good series here too. I particularly like the very UNdistracting backgrounds in photos 1, 4 & 5. That 120-300mm at f2.8 really shines here!

Are the girls in photo 2 congratulating each other for a goal?

For photos 4 and 5 I'm very tempted to want to clone out those "stray hockey sticks"... but that's maybe more of a personal thing than a "necessity".

Thanks for sharing, you're a great photographer.

Paul

Thanks Paul, got to love that lens!!

Yep, they just scored to if I'm in the right position I always try to get the celebration as this is the sort of thing the paper will use (not that I was shooting for the paper but old habits die hard LOL).

As for the stick, yes cloning it would be better but I didn't mind it too much and generally don't clone anything out as I like the photos to be as original as possible. If it were to be used for a poster or something then yes would get it removed.

Thanks for looking in,

Mark
