Default More youth football

Another game. I really hate bright sunlite for football.

2.

3. Man this was a great stiff-arm. Too bad the other kid grabbed the facemask. Unfortunately the refs missed the facemask penalty on the defender.

4. The attitude starts young. Interception returned for a touchdown.

5. Sometimes you don't get both faces in the same photo. Too bad. First part:

6. Second part

8. Yeah, no faces. But man - the timing of everything was right there - ball released just as QB gets hit

John,

I always love you photos. Thanks for sharing. I really hate I can not add anything constructive. I just wish I could do something close to this good. I did get to use the rented 100-400 to get some shots over the past 8 days and I will be posting some soon.

Andy

Thanks for your kind word Andy. Keep practicing and keep seeking feedback from other sports photographers to critique your shots and you'll get better. Some people don't like critique so they don't seek it out and usually their learning curve is very slow. Those that seek out and listen learn very fast. That's how I did it's how I see others grow as sports shooters. Looking forward to seeing your posted shots.

Thanks Graham. I think faces definitely help - especially in youth sports where the action itself isn't so great. The higher up the food chain, the more dynamic the action and the more I think you can get away with great shots without having a face.
