Is that a stock photo showing the clouds from above instead of from underneath like we are accustomed to seeing?

Beautiful shots. During the Falklands War the RAF used my city in Western Canada as a fueling spot. We used to see Harriers and once saw the Vulcan Bomber.

It was a perfect day, the clouds were dark and the Vulcan all camouflaged came through the clouds at a low level,,,what sun there was, glinted off the Vulcan.

It's an image that has stayed with me all these years...what a fearsome warbird.

That was when it bombed the runway at Port Stanley, it was a fair old distance.

The sky was what my daughter took out of the plane window when she flew to Greece.

Cheers for the comments

We used to see them every year during the SAC bomb competitions. The aircrews were really great people; it was fun to have them on base.

The amazing thing is the size of the bomber makes it look very slow when flying overhead.

Magnificent aircraft.

Very nice shots of an elegant warbird. You Brits always seem to manage to come up with the most beautiful airplanes.

You're right the Brits come up with beautiful planes...also cars like old Jags, Healeys, Bentleys, etc.
