Default Radio Control Cars

Took these at a Monster Truck show during the build up. They were launching them off a ramp. Some did not survive. lol

You have selected one of the hardest things to photograph well and have done with with photos 3 and 4. One of our members (although not seen him much recently) is a bit of a specialist in this area so good for some inspiration. One of my fave shots is on this thread Offroad Racing and you can see all his shots at http://www.robspics.com/gallery.html

With a bit of practise I'm sure you can start approaching this sort of level. He does have a very fast focusing lens which helps him but even so he still did pre focusing on certain shots which we can all do.

Thanks Mark.
I was just leaning on the fence, half bored, waiting for the full size Monster Trucks to start up. These guys were tucked up one end of the Stadium. I took about 20 shots and then left as the Trucks started.
I know where the RC Cars race as I used to race them so I will go out one day and spend some time doing it properly.

In that case you did a very good job. I look forward to seeing how you get on. I would try some slow shutter shots as well as high speed to freeze action and see how you get on.

It seems like a fun project I enjoyed looking at them all. Thanks for sharing. I like #3 best with the debris flying off the wheels that are turned awkwardly this way and that against the clear blue sky. I think it's awesome.

You've also just given me an idea to install batteries on my son's old monster truck toy.
