Nice action but tough conditions. Did you consider using a flash?

The shots bring back some memories. 25 years ago I could do that invert in #6 but would be in serous trouble if I tried it today. I still have the 10” wide board in the basement.

But you should have. These could have really benefited greatly from flash. It's kind of like saying "I really didn't feel like bringing my 85mm 1.8 so I brought the kit lens instead". Sports photography is very much about using the right tool for the job. in those types of conditions that means flash. Even a shoe mounted flash would have been a big improvement without the added setup of stand. You've got some nice action here, but the image quality is poor enough to override that. Once you get past the "hey these look pretty good for iso 6400" types of thoughts and step back and ask yourself - regardless of the iso I used, do they still look good? Not nearly as good as they could have been. But that's the difference between photography and snapshots. It's completely different if you don't have the gear yet. Or if you stumble across something. But a planned shoot is another matter. Again, some nice action here and with the flash you could have some great shots next time.
