Well, its going to be almost impossible to get a good shot in that light with that camera. If you have a strong interest in shooting sports, i would suggest a sport in daylight where you can also get closer.

on a side note, how does everyone on this site always know what cameras and settings people are using with each picture? Is there something to click on to tell?

As an example, I added Opanda iExif to Mozilla. gives me right-click access to the exif data if the poster left it intact. There are probably other ways for other browsers.
