Default Saratoga Race Track first try 8/25/10

I went to the Saratoga Race track today, very dark and cloudy. And I forgot my 55-250mm (is) so I used a Tamron 18-200mm for my first attempt at taking horse racing. Here are a few, Canon Xsi with Tamron 18-200mm.

Got a "thing" for the number 5?

Nice shots. There's no EXIF data, but from the results it looks like you did well.

Just a minor point, but if you are going to use two or more shots from the same sequence, each of the shots is more interesting if they all have different footfalls. You posted two photos, img_4216.jpg and img_4219.jpg, that happen to have the exact same footfalls (so to speak) and so don't look very different from one another except for the background.

Thanks, I think I actually won $50 on that horse

I did not relise I had the same horse, when I uploaded, I uploaded from picasa, I was iso 800, A Priority, shutter around 1/1000, AWD set on cloudy, center point focus, ai servo. They ran a lot of race on the inside turf, so the rail was in the way, these were the only ones I likes out on the dirt....it was really dark and cloudy, and i did not want to go iso 1600, so I ran iso 800 with shutter around 1/800, 1/1000. Does picasa get rid of exif?
