The basics of kite surfing are not the difficult. I started back in 1998 when it was an unknown sport in the UK, I used a modified surf board as you couldn't buy dedicated kit like now. It was much harder and after an accident in 1999 where I broke my leg in 3 places I was never really able to get back into it the same. I've done some shoots with some international pro riders which was great fun, they kept trying to get me back on a board, but I'm happy staying dry

I like the wide/contextual shot. The problem with kite surfing is a lot of people don't know what it is so this helps tell the story about the rest of the close shots.

The 3rd is a little out of focus or there is motion blur. A good set though.

Next time out, look at getting some shots with the rider off centre to bring the spray more into effect. Hope you don't mind, this is the sort of thing I mean.

I was coming back from an Orchid (its a flower) show and caught these guys tearin it up on the lake and hurried to get a few pics. If I was twenty years younger.....Id give it a shot, but alas I cannot turn back the hands of time.
