zombz your best bet is to put your iso on auto range from 400 to Hi1. Shoot above 300 on shutter speed and hope for the best.

I have a D90 and use a 50mm 1.8 lens on basketball. I set my iso on auto to 6400. Shutter speed minimum of 400 at f/2 to f/3.3. My iso is always above 4,500. But the gyms I shoot in are caves. So you might have a chance. You might have a real good chance if they are using strobes and catch a shot when the strobes go off.
