No offence meant (none taken, I expect!) :-)

I use soccer (even when I lived in the UK) to avoid similar confusion. Here in Australia we use 'soccer'. Our 'football' is our 'Aussie rules football' (very different to other sports eg different to rugby, or grid-iron).

Happy New Years.

Thank you Paul & Happy New Year to you too Sir, It'd be rude of me not to point out the Cricket Ashes win at this point, hope it's 24 years before you get em back, Kind regards Graham.

Hi Jeff, thanks very much for looking in!.
long time no hear, hope your keeping & still shooting well?. What camera did you end up with?. I had to make the move to better cameras as all staffers @ the papers I shoot for where issued with Nikon D3s's & my last publication,(although making front page), showed how poor the quality was in comparison even just in editorial. So needs must si I bit the bullet & I'm now much poorer for the experence. Kind regards Graham.

Cheers,
Jeff

Jeff,

For what it's worth, if you're still wanting to shoot field sports, you're better off spending money on glass - 200-400 or 300mm 2.8 or sigma 120-300 2.8 than a d3s. Either lens with a d300 will do much more for your outdoor sports than a d3 with too-short lens will do.

Hi Jeff, I hope you get your dream camera!, John's right though a good lens would be my next purchase too TBH, I didn't do too bad with a D2hs with the 300 2.8?, however, if you can now afford both a D3 & lens I'd go for the 200-400 f4!, with the D3 series a f4 max appature is as good as a 2.8, (especially given your weather). Let us know how it goes when you get payed?. Graham.

Great footie shots of these young lads. I am surprised that they are allowed to use metal studs. Also, haven't seen a pair of Umbro's in years. Great facial expression in shot number two.
