No worries about the response time and thanks to both of you for the advice. I've attached a few photos for your review. These are from Mid Ohio '09. They were taken with my old Minolta Dimage Z2. It's better than a point and shoot but has nowhere near the capabilities of my D5000. So I'm optimistic about getting good shots with the Nikon. The Minolta allows for adjustments to the aperture and shutter speeds, however I couldn't tell you what the settings were for these pics.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. I can't wait either. Unfortunately I just found out today that the postal service has seemingly delivered my new 70-300VR to the wrong address. I've filed a claim with Cameta Camera but I'll have to wait 21 days before I get a refund. Hopefully it will turn up, but if not I'll reorder and still have it in time for the Bosch Engineering 250 May 14. If I can't get it by then I guess I'll have to use my 55-200VR kit lens. Thanks again for all your help and comments. I'll be looking for posts from you as well.
