Default baseball/batter photo

Hey,
I just sent in my camera for servicing, so I'll be out of commission for the next 2-3 weeks.

This is a shot I have been meaning to try and I finally got the opportunity today. It's shot from behind the chain-link fence. Pitcher and ball in focus (or at least, attempted to be in focus), with the batter in the foreground. I wish I didn't cut off part of the batter's body though, I'll have to try this one again some time.

Let me know what you think. Good or bad critique welcome.
Thanks!

Nice job. But you want to get the ball a bit closer so it fills up more of the frame - and then crop some more. While you did a nice job trying to get the ball in focus it's a very tiny part of the frame. As it is, the pitcher is in focus and his face is in shadow. But he's also filling up a tiny portion of the frame.

Look down a bit on this thread and you'll see a photo showing what I'm talking about from another shooter:

thanks for the tips john. I was actually thinking to crop wider, but after seeing that shot in dgrin, i't looks better to crop smaller! I'll keep tryin this shot!
