Default National Geographic Daily Dozen pick

Was at a swim meet in Calgary last weekend and was quite pleased to get this particular shot during the meet and submitted it to the Daily Dozen contest with National Geographic. The photo was picked for tomorrow's line-up of photos! It my 5th one now chosen so I am very happy with this!

Congratulations Kevin. Another shot that proves you to be a good photographer and not just a lucky one.

Hey Frank, thanks for that! No, I wasn't in the water! Lol! I acted on a gut feeling to get this shot. I had no time to really prepare for it like I would have wanted. I saw this race coming up next so I quickly went over to my camera bag not far from this spot and changed lenses from the 70 - 200 2.8 to the 24 - 70 2.8 then quickly got into position next to the edge of the pool, got a focus lock in front of me and put the camera down on the ground. The whistle blew and the rest is history.
