Default The weather's good & the surf's up ~ let's go!

G'day all

In eastern Australia lately we've had some most unpleasant weather resulting in inland floods and wild seas along the eastern coast. The seas have been very brown and dirty from waters rushing out from overflowing rivers ~ however it has started to settle down in our area

The sun's come out today ~ and so have the surfers. All those shown here are just local regulars enjoying a day out. Most of them turned away from the camera when following waves, these couple turned towards the camera. The sun was to my left, it was about 4 to 5pm and I was located 150m out from the beach on a rocky breakwater

As Flickr deletes exif info here tiz:-
Cam details ... Panny G2, 45-200 at 200, ISO-400, "S" mode at 1/1600
PP ... Levels + cropping then resize to 800px wide for posting

G'day DRGS

With no response to these images since they were posted, I was wondering about them...

As to "cant believe you were only at 200mm!" .... in my text above I did mention " ... and I was located 150m out from the beach on a rocky breakwater"

and as with many things, some cropping was done as well

also- yes the Panny 45-200 lens does seem to be a particularly sharp 'hunk of optic'; the camera focuses extremely quickly, and burst does a good job at picking 'em all up for later review

Regards, Phil
