Default "The Brutal"

The aptly named "The Brutal" triathlon in Llanberis.
The largest of the day's races- "The Double Brutal"- starts at 7am for a 5 mile lake swim, followed by a 224 mile bike ride over a rather hilly route and finishing off with a run of 54 miles- which includes an ascent/descent of Snowdon into it...!!
The winner usually takes between 27-29 hours...!!
Mostly shot with a D3100 and a 50mm f/1.8.

Great pics Simon; just had a look at the website and that is indeed a brutal event.
I've walked up Snowdon and cannot imagine running up it especially after 224 miles on the bike.

Well, I have run the Snowdon International Race (this year...)- but the thought of doing it after a 5 mile swim and a 224 mile ride kinda makes my effort look feeble...lol..!
Thanks for the comment.

Looks tiring Simon lol.
A few of my maters have entered before & encouraged me to enter but I have, like you, trouble enough running the distance never mind the rest!. & you only win a bit of Slate anyway so I won't bother. Cool shots which show the occasion. Kind regards Graham.

Wall-E... I was dashing around on my bicycle...
I shoot off ahead of the riders, photograph them.... and then zoom off to another spot...

It's all planned ahead of the race...
I figure where they'll be at given times for the swim/bike/run/transition and get there in time...
