Default Evadale Airpark Raceway 2-06

A friend told me about this little drag strip and asked me to come shoot his car. Having never shot drag racing before I learned it is more difficult than the pros make it look (always seems to be this way).

Here are a few from last Saturday. Sony A550, Sigma 50-150 f2.8 APO

Critiques are always welcome. One thing I noticed is my focus point seems to be on the front fender of the car. I am thinking it should be as close to the close side, front corner as possible

This Chevy II is the car I went to shoot. As my panning improves I should be able to frame tighter.

There were also dragsters in all sizes. There were nine of the junior cars and the kids are competitive. One boy was walking around the pits in a tutu after loosing a grudge race to his little sister.

For whatever reason I found the Green truck to be quite photogenic.
