f3.5..... 1/10th sec .....iso 100....is that way too slow ?

yeah..you're probably gonna want a 1/250 shutter or higher,

the flash will help a lot with that!

Yeah I think it is Darren, try your iso at 400 to start with and with shutter priority set at maybe 640th of a second or faster ? If these shots look too dark, try cranking the iso up again.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Im guessing a bit here, (basing it on my cricket shots) but because its digital you can try and try again until you get settingssomewhere near, and it costs you nothing :-)

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I think even for a still subject, with camera hand held, your not supposed to use a shutter speed slower than the lens focal length or something? (sure I've read this somewhere) eg if you're shooting at 200mm equivalent, you should use shutter speeds of 1/200th or faster, and thats for still subjects, faster for moving subjects.
