My family went up to Mt. Hood (about 50 miles east of Portland) where there is a ski area that offers alpine slides that you descend onlittle carts that travel in a concrete channel.

Here I was having a little fun with the hi speed picture shooting mode of my camera:

Thanks, vito. I think he (that's my older son) was making that face on the last shot because he couldn't get the cart to go as fast as he wanted it to go.

Well, the face may have also been partially a reaction to seeing me taking his picture :-)

Vito, "carving" portions of images out like this usually ends up being a strain on my eyes. I use the selection brush tool (in PSE2) and making sure that I am precise and pickup as few extraneous pixels as is possible is very laborious. Do you know of an easier, but just as precise, method for making complex selections from images?

well...in PS7 the best way would be to use "Quick Mask" which is almost exactly the same thing as the selection brush, i think....

does PSE2 have the polygonal lasso? or the magnetic lasso? those might help...or if you are talented in following along the lines with the mouse, you could use the lasso...
