Well, I shot moto for the first time ever. Obviously a lot faster than the normal sports I shoot. Couple of examples below. Shot with 10D and Sigma 120-300 1/250. If anyone has an interest, here' s link to all of them.

Both are great shots. I like the feel of speed in the first one best.

Nice photographs Andy. With a very tiny bit of sharpening these things are very professional looking. I took it upon myself to sharpen the first one and post. Hope you don't mind.

Norm, NP with the sharpening. With the exception of a crop and quality reduction, that was straight out of the camera. I should sharpen before I post..

Deo, thanks. I didn't feel I got any WOW pictures, though I didn't really expect to. Just wanted to get an idea on how to pan. I'm hoping to get a few GOOD ones next week for the superbikes. I really enjoyed shooting this. Didn't see many pro photogs at all, though it was just Vintage bikes. I'm sure next week will be a different story.

Deo, a quick question. Do you shoot motosports at all? If so, what kind of a percentage of keepers do you get. Just curious.

Well, I'm going to give ita shot and try to get credentials for this weekend's Superbike. I just need ANY local newspaper to give the OK for the intent for assignment to me. I'd really like to put together a portfolio. I told the local paper I'd shoot for them for free if they'd issue me one. I know the sports editor, so I might have a chance. Not sure if we can work out the details on relatively short notice. Anyone have any other ideas? I've called the track, and as long as they have that piece of paper, I'm good to go...
