Hey, great shot! You definately timed it perfectly, considering the determined stance the horse is taking.

Another thing I like about this picture is how the bull seems to be a little bit more blurry than the horse, which makes me feel like the horse is winning the fight. Weird, I know, but hey, its what I see!

Rock on!

Aweeeesome shot, Dale! I like her tack a lot!

Great shot! What camera and what kind of flash did you use? How was the lighting in the arena?

Thanks girls, I appreciate your comments, Jenni agreed the shot was done with the shot centered on the horse and rider, to blur the steer a bit, Disco here is the exif info, Nikon D-100 , 80-200 Nikon lens at about 120mm. SB-80 flash on manual setting -1.0 ex. and the arena was lit well but not direct sunlight, hence the manual setting on the flash.. This horse is absolutley awsome.. I have sold here many pics.. i just love when it is her turn to go, I know she will give me some excellant action shots every time all the time.. Thanks again ladies.. Good luck Dale

Great moment that you have captured, Dale

It is wonderful how you have captured cutting horse and rider confronting the steer and not backing down.

I am not a rider but I do know that this is what cutting horses are born to do!

Well done
