They are great photos Frank.

Did you get down on the sidelines to take them? I find anytime I have tried to take photo's of a game the pitch markings can make for really odd out-of-context shapes when shooting from up in a stadium.

When the local hurling season starts here again I am going to try a little harder this time to get good shots. What lens did you use, by the way? Was it 200mm or greater?

Good shots and clean for the high ISO used.

The one playersleg in image#2 does look a bit odd, his leg below the knee seems to be going in a different direction than it should. Optical illusion of some kind I am sure :-)

(Back from Holliday )

Hi,
I used a 80-400OS from Sigma on my 10D for these shots.
I alway's take place next to the goal on the backline, most of the time I try to shoot from a low angle but it was too cold for that this day.

Greetings,
Frank

Excellent work, Frank. considering the high ISO, I'm very impressed. It's lousy out here today... Maybe I'll take my camera out. (wishful thinking... I get garbage at ISO 400)

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada
