taken with Canon PowerShot S1 IS...

here they are...

I just can't seem to zoom in far enough (even with digital zoom), though, and when I do, I sometimes miss shots (I would think more megapixels would help so I'd have room for cropping, but then my images would start getting noisy - it's bad enough above ISO 200 as it is). Most of them are pretty good, though, relatively, but I wish I could do better.

Oh, btw... I missed most of the shots of the game. I did take a few short video clips though.

Btw, what would I need in order to be able to get the entire field in the frame, and crop each of the subjects' faces out and make museum-sized photo-lab-quality prints? Will there be such a pocketable camera that's good in low light for < $400 in the next 5 years?

In the meantime, what can I do to improve the shots I get with the camera I have now?

Anyone have suggestions on a conversion lens that would allow me to fill the frame with the subjects' faces from where I was, without having to use digital zoom, or have my aperture stopped down any farther than it already is (I'd like to keep my shutter speeds up without having to use ISO 1600 (i.e. ISO 400 and underexposed by 2 stops).

btw, if I could find a decent one for either a portrait of Abe Lincoln on metal, or maybe a portrait of George Washington on paper, would a lens like this sketch of a telephoto lens be adequate for getting up close without losing too much shutter speed in less than adequate lighting?
