Only "less than 2 inches"... shoot around here there would still be some cars out there! LOL!

But back to the picture... Nicely done... really like the framing... wonderful!

hahaha...nice photo! Yah...those folks are sure brainless for messing on that kind of thin ice. The ice doesn't look to be particularly smooth either..but I could be wrong.

Thats a great photo, it catches the true essence of hockey. Shoveling off an area to play. I like the way it is framed by the trees too.

I recently picked up the 20D as well, I am loving this camera.

Reminds me the good old time(In the 70's, i spend all my winter days playing pond hockey)

It's also fun to see kids playing outside... Today most of them are inside playing Nintendo or Playstation.

And BTW, nice shot.

I love it! This takes me back to my young years in the Ottawa Valley. What I really like about this shot is the viewer's perspective from behind the trees. It makes me feel like it is me who is watching the scene, not a camera.

Good work.

Thanks for the comments :!:

It seems the older I get the thicker I want the ice to be before I would venture out on it.

Hey now, don't discriminate! I play hockey, softball, horseback ride, and do weightlifting. I'm also in 4H, SADD (students against destructive decisions) , and the Princess of a horse club!

If you don't call that getting out, I don't know what is!

It's a very good shot! Reminds me of going and playing hockey down at the pond in my neighborhood! Arena hockey versus pond hockey are completely different sports!
