In case the size of this photo restricts the resolution on the partially submerged boat, the name is "Up Time", thus my title.

Oklahoma City hosted a national event this past weekend, with 171 boats from across the US and Canada competing. This particular boat (8,000 hp monster from Riverside, CA) had previously turned in a 238 mph speed, but on this run, it literally flamed out about 200 yards beyond the starting line, went nose-down, then swamped in the back, and sank nose-up. The rescue /"lift" boat was near-by with two scuba divers to rescue the driver, who was not injured. I'll post some action shots of other boats, shortly.

Superb!

Look forward to seeing more. Being a Rescue Diver for the European Formula 1 Wold Championships, I love seeing "safe" crash pictures

Not a typo. 8,000 hp. At idle, these boats sitting still in the water over 1/4 mile away, sendvibrations through your body. When they hit the throttle, and then go past you, it is louder than standing by a runway as a 747 takes off. It is an awesome feeling.
