Another nice shot.

Amazing background blur considering you were shooting at F8!

Whats the spec on your lens? It seems to be doing a good job.

It's the standard Sigma 70-300 APO 4.5-5.6 zoom. I have had a lot of good luck with Sigma lens for all my Minoltas I have owned and decided to go with the same manufactorer when I went digital. The fense in the background is about 300 feet away. To give you an idea, I was standing about where first base is located looking into left field (dual use school field, baseball and soccer. In the Using your head photo, f/5.6 is it, that's as wide open as it gets, the background fense is closer in that shot. Just the way it happens. When I am taking these photos I am more concerned about getting a good shot for the newspapers I submit to (both local and competing papers, both buy from me regularly) and don't take the time to check the backgrounds. As usual though I look at your advice, go back and look at the photo and say to myself, "you know he's right again". Keep em coming and thanks!

Phil,

That's what I have on my D Reb XT. It's a fantastic lens for the price. (I paid $219 on the internet) That lens helped me gettwo first place (sports)and a second place within the first three mouths i owned it.

It's great you have a place that PAYS ( ! ) for your pictures. You're sure doing great. Good luck shooting.
