(D70s with Nikkor 70-300) After shooting roughly over 2200 photos, and keeping about 10% of those, I tried to separate my best photos of this seasons Youth soccer and Junior football. None of these have been photoshopped and probably a few *need* to be, but I thought I'd post them and get your feedback on any areas that I may need improvement on.

The link is here to the photo album:

My favorite picture of this years shoot was a toss up between these two:

Not too shabby.

Would be nice to blow in some fill flash into those shots.

Thank you. The coach asked me at the beginning of the season not to use flash, thus my decision not too. (He didn't want the camera to be a distraction to the team, so I'm the "Stealth Photographer" )

blow in some fill flash into those shots.

Or is that a term for doctoring up the photo after?

I agree with Terry but I think he means in post processing of the photos on the computer. By the way I love the first one, second one is cropped a little too tight for my taste but that's just me.

Just looked at you shots and they were all good. I really liked #7 and #8.

Well, I meant actual flash but I can understand the coach not wanting flash.

It's true that photo software can let you "burn in" an area a little.

No picture is perfect and we always wish the light were streaming head on towards our subjects.

But given we are talking about moving subjects, there's a lot to like about those two photos.

Thks for the reply, Terry.

K1, thank you. The amazing thing is...this team, the Puyallup Roughrider "Sweet Pea" division (Junior Football) allowed 0 points scored on them in all their conference games. Its been a pleasure to be on the sidelines with them, as well as watching my son perform too, up close, instead of from the stadium stands.
