First time taking Basketball pics. Third time taking pics in this particular gym (volleyball the 2 other times).

Canon 20D + Canon 85mm 1.8
ISO: 800
Shutter: 400 to 500
Aperatur: 1.8 to 2.2
Portland won!

I like your first and third shot - good WB on all the pics - not always easy in a gym! And Terry would be proud of me here :-)- I think you may have cropped too tightly on many of them. You're just barely cropping off the feet. Since most of your photos are during the dribble (as opposed to dunk or block) the feet are still part of the photo. So, losing a portion of a foot detracts from an otherwise good looking photo.

Nice series - I know gymnasiums are tough places to shoot photos. I like the first shot the best.

I like 'em, nicely lit shots. Were you using a flash or some sort of strobe? And where were you taking the pics from? Good job.

I was not using a flash or strobe at all.

I was shooting mainly 8 feet from the baseline.
