Ron G

Wow ! ! Great pictures ! Man, that is a nice stadium down there. They are great shots but it takes a good eye to catch the last one. Really good work. Really good.

You and the D70 are a team.

Ron - good work and congratulations on winning a state title!!!

Sure was a cold day to be out shooting though. Although, given the choice I would rather have spent it as you did, photographing my team in the championships. Sure is nice to be able to shoot in the daylight, isn't it?

YOu got some very happening shots there, some of the best football shots I've seen posted here.

What lens were you using?

I agree with everyone else, great shots

And like Terry, I would lovbe to know what lens you used as well as camera. The sharpness and clarity of these pictures are fantastic.

Many Thanks for all of the compliments guys.

I was using a Nikon D70 with Nikkor 70-300 4-5.6 G ($200 lens)

I was actuallly very pleased with the results.
This is probably the best color that I have gotten from this lens. (Must have GUESSED right on all settings)
Shot in Manual Mode

Still would like them to be a little sharper but, for a $200 lens I can't complain much.

Thanks again guys and any critiques are also much appriciated.

You captured some very good pictures at the game. I really like #6 in the first batch and #'s 3+6 in the second one. They really show the action.

Just enjoy that daylight, and keep on shooting those great shots.
