All told, a kinda cool shot.

Might have been a better shot if you were standing on the other side, as this is a shot of the player's back.

Try blurring the background, although I must say this shot looks better with the background in sharp focus.

Thanx, I agree. I always try for the player inposession of the ball, the face, preferably with eyes up. You have to havea littleanticipation and a lot of luck. sometimes you get one that is kinda cool though. I haven't had great success looking into the sun in the late afternoon as it was for this shot. I guess I just need to practice.

Great timing especialy considering your using a P-n-S.

I've read only one other comment and must diagree with the background analysis - it' very distracting! It pulls the eye off your main subject.

If posible lower your ISO and increase your SS as much as you can. That will make the camera choose a lower f-stop and decrese your D-o-F.

BTW, keep the sun at your back or to the side but I never would have shot form the other side of the field, the lens flare would have ruined too many pics.
