Dustin, thanks as always. I love the coach shot. I know her pretty well and she is fairly laid back but in that game after a large number of horrible calls she was fighting mad. To see her out on the floor chastising a ref is rare and funny.

I was pretty pleased with the shots from this game as well, I got some good ones. There are some "expressions" that crack me up. I know all these girls and I love to give them grief about their 'game faces'

Terry, I am such a creature of habit ..... My experience shooting at 1/320 is that I get ALOT of motion blur. At 1/400 there is not as much but some,. at 1/500 a little depending on the shot and generally at 1/640 generally there is none, thats whyI chose 1/640. Ths is only the second game I shot in Tv mode.

I will experiment next game a little and try 1/400 at ISO800 and see where that takes me ...

Thanks for the suggestion.

DR,

We are all creatures of habit!

If it works for you, stick with it!

However it's always nice to experiment a little here and there

I am still getting eitehr the Tamron 28-75 or Sigma 28-70 with tax return, still going back and forth on that one

Will post some pics with the 85 1.8 when I get some

DR,

I'd love to see your piccies with the 85mm 1.8.

I've been thinking about that lens myself.

Please private message me when you post them.

Terry

The first games I will use it in is on Feb 1 (HS)

There is a college game on Feb 2 that I will take some shots with. I typically use my 100 f2 for the college games due to proximity issues, but I will shoot a half with the 85

I am stoked!

I like these shots and the confrontation that happens in many of your shots.

Maybe it's time for me to get new monitors, but wonder if you could decrease the size just a bit. I find I have to scroll in both directions to see all of the picture and miss out on some of the impact of seeing the whole scene at once. I download some to get a better look, but get lazy at times.

If you know the team members, I wonder if printing up some of the pics for them and the coach would get you courtside access - (maybe you have it and just posted these shots or maybe you like the angles - but if you wanted to get on the floor, I suspect a few nice 8x10's would get you there.)

I know the team members well and the coach and her asst are friends. I also do a big production for them but courtside access is not to be. Not their rule.

Next time I post I will post in 800x600 instead of 1024x768

Thanks for the kind words
